2019 Wedding Trends...

Here at The Wildflower Wedding Planner, I am a huge advocate for creating a wedding that is truly yours. Whether you choose to incorporate trends or not, the main thing is that you create a wedding that is a personal reflection of you as a couple!

That being said, there are certain trend predictions that I can certainly get behind!

Having an eco-conscious wedding is going to be an important factor going forward for couples in 2019. From foam-free floral installations to wedding catering using only locally sourced ingredients, and ethically produced bridal wear - the options for couples to achieve this are on the rise.

Substance over style

Couples are increasingly focusing more on guest comfort and experience, opting to spend their money on elevating the overall feel of their wedding, rather than just how it looks. They are looking to incorporate ways to look after, entertain and wow guests at every opportunity. Think personalised welcome gifts, top-notch entertainment and interactive food stations for guests to get involved with.

Luxe Grazing

Which leads me on nicely to the next hot trend of luxe grazing tables and dessert stations. The amazing Grape + Fig are paving the way in creating these visually impactful displays that are {almost} too good to eat! Wedding food is moving to be less about formal sit down meals, and more about informal and family focused social eating.
There is nothing better than guests digging into a mouth-watering spread together and talking about the delights before them as they do.

Bold Colours

As much as I love a soft, neutral colour palette I am quite looking forward to seeing rich and dramatic hues being embraced all year round, creating a moody and romantic vibe whatever the season!
From delicious berry tones, to enchanting emerald greens and sapphire blues, you’ll be seeing a lot more of these moody hues in the year ahead.

We’re seeing more couples opting for a pared-back look for their day; stripping back the unnecessary details (bye, bye favours!) and instead focusing their money and energy on key elements that are timelessly personal to them and their love story.
