Today I am going to talk about one of the services I offer in more detail, and explain how it could benefit you.
Hiring a wedding planner is no longer a luxury reserved only for the rich and famous. In this day and age where our lives seem busier than ever, a wedding planner is often a necessity for busy couples who are looking for support and advice leading up to their wedding day, and of course on the day itself!
What is "month-of coordination"?
Month-of or on-the-day coordination is most suited to couples who are nearing the end of their wedding planning journey and are looking for someone to take care of the logistics in the weeks running up to the big day, and to be there on the day itself.
Hiring a wedding planner to coordinate your day will allow you to relax, knowing that the plans you have made are in the hands of a trusted professional to ensure everything comes together perfectly on the day.
Every wedding planner works slightly differently, so when you are looking at hiring one, you should check carefully at exactly what you will receive when booking a specific service.
The Wildflower Wedding Planner month-of coordination service offers so much more than me simply being there on the day. Prior to confirming the booking, we will have a Skype consultation at a time to suit you, to talk through your plans and agree on which areas I can assist you with.
We will have a follow-up meeting around 4-weeks before the wedding, preferably at your wedding venue, where will again run through the day in detail. In the weeks leading up to your wedding day I will be contacting your suppliers directly to introduce myself as your wedding planner and finalise arrangements with them for the big day. I will also be available to you to act as a sounding board and work with you to iron out any logistical challenges that may arise.
Having gone through your plans in detail, I will produce a comprehensive wedding day schedule ensuring that the correct amount of time has been allocated to each part of your day. This schedule will become the backbone of your wedding day and will help your suppliers understand what needs to happen and when (for example, what time suppliers should arrive, the layout of certain areas of your venue, how your tables should be set-up and so on..), which will ensure that everything runs like clockwork and looks just how you imagined it.
I will then, of course, be there on the day of the wedding to complete the venue set-up, oversee the schedule to make sure the day runs smoothly and to discreetly manage any unforeseen hiccups that may occur. I will usually be on site for 10 hours, however more hours can be agreed in advance if needed.
Why should you consider hiring a wedding coordinator?
There is no doubt that having a professional coordinator is an asset at any wedding, but none more so than those taking place at a blank-canvas venue, such as a marquee or outdoor woodland setting where there are usually a lot of external suppliers coming and going.
